1:00PM - 2:00PM E.S.T.
The COVID-19 pandemic has presented various challenges to families with children across New York State with many prevention service providers working to address specific needs that have changed over the course of the last two years. As we look ahead in 2022, the time is now to address the Child Welfare needs families have across New York State and what our local and state leaders must do to help children thrive.
During this conversation, CCC and COFCCA will showcase statewide findings of child welfare prevention agencies on top needs and challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. This will be followed by an overview of policy priorities that must be enacted in the child welfare space as we advocate for an equitable budget this year.
We'll be joined by guest speaker Assemblymember Andrew Hevesi as he highlights how he aims to address the dire situation through his new bill, The Children and Families Reinvestment Act.
